Gimme that SNACK! 17 Kid Approved Allergy-Friendly Snacks

"Hangry" Is definitely an emotion every Momma can relate to with her kiddos! And, it always happens when you are out of the house and you forgot the snacks! Right? Snacks! Every kid’s got to have them (like right now!), and every parent better be armed with snacks or suffer the wrath of an irritable, hungry kid


More and more allergy-friendly snacks are hitting the shelves at local supermarkets, making allergy-friendly snacks a little bit easier to provide to our children. But, these snacks aren’t always the greatest tasting and for the price tag of some of them they need to be good and kid approved!

For those who kiddos don’t have any food allergies, these can still be an option for a healthy snack.

Less time in the kitchen and more time having adventures with your kids. “The days are long but the years are short.” Enjoy the moments.


Here is my go to list and where I find most of them locally:

  • Made Good Minis (Wal-Mart, Whole Foods)

  • Harvest Snap Peas (all grocery stores)

  • BOOMCHICKAPOP Popcorn (Costco, All grocery stores)

  • Glutino Pretzels with sun butter or hummus (Wal-Mart carries all this!)

  • Siete Grain Free tortilla chips with guacamole or hummus (Fry’s, Whole Foods and Sprouts carry Siete Chips)

  • PLUM Organics Mashums or Applesauce pouches (Most grocery stores)

  • Mickey Mouse Veggie Chips or Kale Chips (Safeway, Fry's, Basha's)

  • Organic Seaweed (Most Grocery Stores, Trader Joes)

  • Kind Bars (My kiddos love all the flavors and Costco carries the mini! Love these for the low sugar too!)

  • Enjoy Life Protein Bites or Bars (Chocolate is a hit in our home and again I love the low sugar!)

  • Terra Real Vegetable Chips: sweets and beets (Costco, Sprouts)

  • So Delicious Coconut Yogurt (Sprouts, Whole Foods) with honey and cinnamon sprinkled on the top

  • Garden Light Blueberry Oat Muffins (Whole Foods, Wal-Mart, Instacart)

  • Pure Organic Layered Fruit Bars (Wal-Mart, Costco, Amazon)

  • Veggie Bowls: carrots, celery, cucumbers, snap peas (I use the small Dixie cups)

  • Fruit Bowl: apples, watermelon, honeydew melon and berries. I might add a little natural sweetener on the top for a sweet treat (I use honey, stevia or Xylitol)

  • Almond Butter or Sun Butter with Apples or Celery
