The holiday season is upon us, and that means it’s time to celebrate!
There is no shortage of holiday events that bring people together during the most wonderful time of the year. One of my favorite family traditions is Christmas at the Princess, aka the most festive place this side of the North Pole. If you want to soak in and experience the magic of the holidays through your child's eyes, this is the place to do it.
The festival’s highlights for our family include:
The musical tree and light show. The resort’s Christmas tree is decorated with 70,000 LED lights that dance to holiday songs every hour, on the hour each evening.
S’mores Land, where you can roast marshmallows around a campfire, take an icy slide down the Polar Glide, twirl on Frosty’s Ferris wheel or whirl around the Christmas Carousel.
Desert Ice Skating Rink, where you can experience magical snowfall under the stars each evening.
The Princess Express Train, which will take you around the resort’s dazzling lagoon lights, complete with a pirate ship, mermaid, Nessie the Loch Ness monster, giant rocking horse and a candy cane forest.
Santa’s Secret Headquarters where you can write and mail wish lists, learn the secret elf pledge and have a photo taken with Kris Kringle.
The five week festival runs through New Year’s Eve. General admission is complimentary for hotel guests, who also receive express VIP access to the rides and attractions. For the public, general admission/parking is $55 per vehicle for up to six people. However, valet/general admission is complimentary when dining at any of the resort restaurants with a $75 spend, for up to six people.
